Retention depends on camera count, resolution, and frame rate. Buyers rarely size the drive correctly, so they run out of recording days and blame the product.
Off-the-shelf Shopify bundle apps cannot express that an NVR has a fixed channel count and a finite PoE budget, or that resolution drives storage. The rules that make a camera kit correct are invisible to them.

Yes. The configurator becomes a public Shopify app, so other surveillance merchants will be able to install it.
